Daybreak Family Service Centre offers services for families in distress

Sep 2008

DAYBREAK Family Service Centre is a community outreach of the Methodist Welfare Services. Situated in Yishun, Daybreak FSC offers a wide range of services for families in distress due to financial difficulties, parenting or marital issues.

For couples planning to tie the knot we offer marriage preparation courses; and for children who have experienced family violence there is an outreach that teaches them where to seek help and how to avoid being victimised.

Daybreak FSC also operates Daybreak Student Care Centre for pupils of Naval Base Primary School.

This year, Daybreak FSC also introduced the Growing & Developing Kids Scheme which gives children up to the age six a healthy start in life by providing milk powder and cereal for very young children; toiletries to encourage good personal hygiene; and stationery for those preparing to enter primary school.

The scheme is made available to low-income families who often have to forego these necessities due to their limited finances.
