A tribute to mothers

May 2004

FOR the mighty hands
who have united the seed of the man with the soil of the woman,
For the womb of the woman
who gave us shelter and fellowship in his life,
For the heart of the woman
who comforted us and set the rhythm of life in our soul,
For the pains of the woman
who formed and delivered us to be a part of the Father’s world,
For the breasts of the woman
who kept us warm and nurtured us with the fruit of His love,
For the brokenness of the woman
who wove for us the Ark of life,
put us on the current of the Nile River, and,
let us go to follow the destiny of our personhood.
