Aldersgate Convention: Take MRT, or car-pool

May 2008

ALDERSGATE Convention 2008 is all set to begin. Are you ready for it? The week-long convention will be held at Wesley Methodist Church from May 19 to 24. It comprises five evening talks (two in Mandarin and three in English), two morning seminars (in English) and the Aldersgate Service (in English with simultaneous interpretations in Mandarin and Tamil).

With the theme “The Road to Glory: The Future in Wesleyan Perspective”, the convention will feature two speakers, the Rev Dr Ben Witherington, III, Professor of New Testament Interpretation at Asbury Theological Seminary, and the Rev Dr Ezra Kok, Principal and Lecturer in New Testament Studies at Seminari Theoloji Malaysia (see the full programme below).

As finding car park lots may be a problem, we would encourage those who are coming for the convention to take the MRT and alight at Dhoby Ghaut Station and walk to Wesley Methodist Church.

We would also encourage those who want to drive to car-pool. They can park in several car parks near Wesley Methodist Church (see map):
♦ Fort Canning Public Car Park
♦ YMCA (limited lots)
♦ Park Mall Shopping Centre
♦ Singapore Shopping Centre.
Further away lots are available at:
♦ Plaza Singapura Shopping Centre and the
♦ Singapore Management University (SMU).
