Arrows On Target

Unless God builds the family
All effort is futility.
Children are a gift from God,
They are our reward.

Like arrows in a quiver,
Will our children deliver?
Are they on target?
Will we live to regret?

Train a child the way to go,
They will surely follow;
If we offer a sample
Of our life as an example.

Lord, build our family,
Guard over our city;
Come into our lives to reign,
Lest we labour in vain.

Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain…
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord…
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them…
