BRMC Kindergarten holds its own service

Oct 2006

FOR the first time in 38 years, Barker Road Methodist Church Kindergarten held its own Kindergarten Sunday Worship Service independently of Barker Road Methodist Church (BRMC).

The service was held at the sanctuary of BRMC on July 16, 2006. The congregation filled up about three quarters of the main sanctuary, a very hearty response from parents and supporters.

Children and their families joined in heartily in singing praises to the Lord our God, giving thanks for His love and faithfulness to all of us as well as to the kindergarten.

Kindergarten staff and service providers dedicated their talents for service to the Lord.

The Rev Malcolm Tan, Pastor-in-Charge of BRMC, delivered a short but most encouraging exhortation entitled “The Soldier Who Believed” based on the Scripture text from Luke 7:1-10.

Children, parents and friends then adjourned to the ACS (Barker Road) canteen for fellowship over light afternoon tea.
