The IT revolution has created a fragmented, plastic self, but the self can be reshaped through the Christian practice of worship. If properly carried out, the practice of worship will facilitate the reintegration of the self, and enable it to find its true identity within the worshipping community.
To understand the process of reshaping, this lecture will explore some postmodern philosophers’ accounts of practice, which will then set the context for a Christian response to the challenges posed by the Internet.
Organised by ETHOS Institute for Public Christianity.
